Within the historic rooms of Bowne House, fiber artists and members of the Brooklyn Quilters Guild Thadine Wormly and Jacqueline Colson will display samples of their work and provide demonstrations to visitors. Follow along as Wormly creates historically-inspired fabric greeting cards and Colson practices hand embroidery.

Needlecraft pieces from the Bowne House collection will also be on view, including a rare 19th-century black doll.

Thadine Wormly and Jacqueline Colson were recently featured in an article for The New Yorker, highlighting Wormly’s guidance as a master quilter for the production of the “The Blood Quilt” at Lincoln Center’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theatre.
