Thanks to the generosity of a grant from the Levy Foundation and New York Preservation Archives Project (NYPAP), we recently preserved the Colonial-era Bowne Family Papers of Flushing, Long Island. For over three centuries, these historic records from the early days of our country were preserved within the four walls of the house Bowne built. Today for the first time they are available online for historians, teachers, and the general public.
